Bio:

Deep inside Team Rocket's laboratories in the Kanto Region, an experiment began. Utilizing the technology and data extracted from Cinnabar island's Pokemon Lab, Team Rocket began to attempt the creation of entirely artificial pokemon. They started with a pokemon native to the Kanto region, sandshrew. Carefully, they used Porygon2's code to engineer their artificial Sandshrew. All was proceeding well. The Pokemon's bad had already been formed, nearly identical to the real pokemon, save for it becoming ground/normal as a result of it's creation, and only a bit more work needed to be done.

Unfortunately, this is when things began to go wrong. One of the scientists turned their back on the experiment and Team Rocket. In l attempt to sabotage the experiment, the rogue scientist began uploading the Dubious Disc's data into the Sandshrew's code. The other scientists caught onto their colleague’s betrayal and apprehended them, but the damage was already done. The Sandshrew's code had become corrupted and, as he opened his eyes to observe the room of disappointed and sullen scientists, he felt his body destabilize slightly.

His body, which previously had been the golden shade of desert sand was now a harsh red, rippling with static and looking at him for too long felt strange, as though he wasn't quite there. The head scientist shook his head before taking out a PokeBall and tapping it against the Sandshrew's forehead.

"Take this and dispose of it." He said, voice cold as he handed off the PokeBall, "The last thing we need is Giovanni down our throats about this failure. We'll begin again using the data collected from the previous experiment."

The scientist who had been given the PokeBall nodded and rushed off. He went up flight after flight of stairs until he reached the entrance of the hideout. Quietly, he stole away outside, trying to not attract any unnecessary attention. Once safely hidden from view, he drew out a PokeBall from his pocket and let out his Pidgeotto.

The scientist gave a nervous smile and held out the Sandshrew's PokeBall to the Pidgeotto, "I'd... Rather not 'dispose' of him in the way the Head Scientist would like. Would you please take this PokeBall and send it somewhere far away?"

The Pidgeotto let out a trill of agreement and to the PokeBall in one of their talons. The scientist watched as the bird pokemon sped away across the hills and valleys of Kanto. The bird found it's way to a harbor and fluttered down onto a ship that was preparing to leave. The bird threw the PokeBall into a pile of discarded rope before flying back to their master.

The PokeBall lay there for half the trip, until one day, the Sandshrew force his way out of the PokeBall. The confused pokemon gazed around the sky in confusion, not understanding what he was seeing. It was all quite different from the view he had seen when he first woke up. He turned his head and picked up the PokeBall, cradling it curiously in his clumsy arms.

The Sandshrew sat and watched the goings-on around the shop for the last leg of the trip and tilted his head curiously when he stopped in front of a large mass of land covered in greenery. The Sandshrew, mostly out of curiosity, left the boat, PokeBall in claw. He found himself wandering a port town, though he didn't know what that was nor did he know where he was. It hadn't even occurred to him that that might be an important question. In his curiously wandering, he eventually came upon a large house that seemed mostly empty. It's occupants had apparently left a short while ago and neglected to close the door all the way permitting the Sandshrew to wander in.

He found some pokefood and nibbled at it, astonished by the strange sensation of eating that seemed to come naturally to him. He tilted his head, but continued onward, searching all the rooms and even picking up a small, black and red hooded piece of cloth that he put on and absolutely drowned in as he walked around in it. He eventually came upon one that had a large computer connected to it. The Sandshrew's curiosity caused him to  climb up the chair and onto the desk. He gazed into the monitor covered in nonsensical symbols and strange imagery. He raised a claw to touch the screen and yelped when it went through it. Quickly he jerked back his claw and gazed at it in distrust.

He began to leave when heard the sound of humans coming in. In an instinctive panic, the Sandshrew leapt into the monitor. The Sandshrew shook it's head while in the virtual space, frustrated by the situation and from the feeling of information flooding his skull. Quickly, by instinct, he made his way out of the computer, but he appeared somewhere else. It was the first house his was in and the computer was different as well. Smaller and covered in a strange red carapace. Looking at the device, the Sandshrew picked it up.

Retreating out of the new human's home, he made his way into the forest device in hand. He knew how he was going to get information now.

The Sandshrew spent a great many years studying the machine. He gave himself the name Code, found out his abilities prevented the machine from losing power and that his abilities also assisted him in learning.

He was a young adult now, by most standards, and he wanted to go out an explore the region. He had come to find, over the years, that the region was called Sinnoh. Apparently it was home to a team of pokemon called Team Rocket and they had caught his interest. He felt a strange sense of loyalty to them, despite having never heard the name before, and made it his goal to join.

After quite some time spent researching, he found his way to them  and expressed his interest in becoming a recruit.
