once a year birds come here to die
they fit perfectly next to branches, fences, and the spaces between here and there
birds come here to shed thier wings and thier skins
like a right of passage
they show how much pain they can withstand without leaving life
there's something so human in that.......
and i just want to scream at them
these winged clumps of flesh, blood, and feathers
i want to scream "stop wasting your flight"
but all i can do is exhale

i guess they, and the rest of the world, see it as emancipation
transcending the boundaries of life and death
it's like the fine line between genuis and insanity to them
but for some reason there's a big difference to me
it's masicistic, perverted, and disgusting
and it's said that they can't help it
