Description
Hi! I'm Biff, your handsome ARMS commentator! A strange new trend has been stepping in among the ladies of the ARMS League: an event that requires baring the fighters' legs... called LEGS!Nobody's really sure why they decided to bare 'em in these special LEGS battle arenas. Perhaps it is because a close "connection" the ground is useful to better keep your footing in battle! Either that, or it's just very appealing! Hot on the heels of this emerging trend, the superstar celebrity... Twintelle has dipped her toes into the LEGS arena! Look at those arches! I've got a feeling she used to model, don't you think?
(Though to be frank, as lovely and famous Twintelle tootsies are... my sole favourite will always be Ribbon Girl! <3)
I'll look more into this new trend as I step into the LEGS arenas. Keep afoot of the situation, fight fans!

Well, I heard they're replacing Volleyball with Space jam, so we'll have to see.
If they do in fact add Twintelle, Byte and Barq and Kid Cobra though (and their character info was in the Help section, but then again, the info for the Grand Prix, the 1 vs 100 mode, etc was too) EVERYONE is gonna be twintelle. But that's no different from everyone in the first weekend being Min Min or Ninjara, who I affectionately call Genji.

Somehow I had a feeling Ninjara would get slapped with that name...

Well, to be fair, every Ninjara I played aggressively hogged healing juice even when at full health.

Huh. I do like Ninjara and he looks like a character I want to main alongside Min Min, Spring Man and Ribbon Girl as well as Twintelle and Kid Cobra. Though that depends on the ARMS I can use for him since this game has a lot of customization for each member of the cast to form your own playstyle.

Yeah, so in the demo, Ninjara has Chakrams, those triple punch things, and I think the boxing gloves iirc, but yeah, let's see how getting ARMS fixes that up. I'm still wondering how many ARMS each fighter can get, because seriously, I'm kinda scared of a more defensive or tanky character like Mummy with Guardians, soooo...at least he's really big?
Also, some elements are really good, like Ice Dragons are imo better than Fire, so if Min Min gets those, then I'm sold.

This is certainly gonna be an interesting IP for Nintendo.

Oh, yeah, when they said it was a game that's simple to learn but has a lot of depth, they meant it!
I was away when I played the Testpunch, so my playing conditions weren't optimal, and I couldn't play on a TV or on wired, stable Internet. I also messed up the motion controls, so this Friday, we're trying motion controls again.
Especially since blocking on traditional controls is iffy. You have to click the control stick to block when the traditional control scheme is kinda iffy as is imo (A and B punch but also the triggers, either L or R activate rush when it's not that hard to press both together). I would appreciate some traditional control button mapping, but ehh, we all know they want you to use motion controls, and it looks way more fun that way tbh.

I feel like it's gonna take a lot of getting used to for someone to try the controller options compared to motion controls. Though I'll see how it feels with both motion and controler options when I eventually get ARMS along with the Switch.

The traditional controls aren't horrible, it's mainly that the blocking could have been better. But I'm bad at blocking in most fighters soooo...maybe that's just me.
Also, when using Motion, don't be me and hold the SL/SR buttons toward your chest. The RIGHT way to hold the Joycons is with them AWAY from your chest. Otherwise you'll get wrecked easy.
I also need a second Joycon Grip. be careful putting the grips on, because you can accidentally put them on backwards and they are REALLY HARD to take off then.

Yeah I've been hearing of the issues with the Switch's Joycons and other things but those aren't really gonna turn me away from the Nintendo system. Especially since I want the Switch due to having skipped out on getting a Wii U despite the great games on that system.

I have a Wii U but don't have Splatoon, so I feel like I don't have a Wii U anyway, hahaha!!

I don't get the joke you're trying to pull there. I just want to get into the current console generation since I haven't been able to catch up to it at all due to money issues.

Basically that everyone that has a Wii U has Splatoon and Mario maker except me. But since Splatoon 2 is coming on Switch, I guess it's not a HUGE loss?
I dunno, maybe it is, because I missed all the Splatfests and apparently there was a lore and I don't frickin' know and the bosses in the campaign were really good...sigh...

Hopefully Splatoon 2's campaign will have good bosses too and I don't have much to say on Mario Maker namely due to how many dickheaded levels there are namely from certain famous YouTubes like Ross of GameGrumps...Though the lore is interesting and thankfully Chugga's Splatoon LP was good to watch through.
