EDIT: With the help of a friend, I had her speech translated. She is French after all! Here's what she's saying:"They truly do look and feel like the real thing! ...Though this seems less practical; I’ll have to learn to grab weapons with my toes. Might there be an ulterior motive behind rebuilding my feet like this, hm?"
So I was in the middle of getting out of another drawing slowdown... and then with some help, I was told to color some things... And I juuust kept going, making an unusual choice: The Cold Wind of France, Mistral, who you fight in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
Of course, if you've seen her in the game, you'd know I had to 'rebuild' her feet to make 'em good fetish material. It took a lot of convincing to pay for this rebuild...
... She's onto us, isn't she?

Don't worry, I'm an expert at Metal gear! I played enough Snake in Brawl to...ah, who am I kidding, I never played a Metal gear game! Not a stealth guy, and didn't have a PS for a while and whatnot.

Although Metal Gear Rising is more like a Devil May Cry game, or any Character Action game. Except it's Gimmick of Blade Mode is amazing. No need for stealth, but it IS an option in some areas

Dumb question, but will I get the story? I know Metal gear's story makes no sense, so...

Metal Gear Rising, due to it being a spin off, is mostly self contained. Any references to things from previous games... There are not many of them unless you use your Codec(a telephone communicator sorta thing) to talk to your team members. And even then, they explain it.
If you play it, I suggest you exhaust their codec dialogue, each new enemy or area adds new dialogue in it and has some funny comments. And due to them explaining any possible references, it's quite understandable.
Hell, the fact that most references happen on Codec if you actually take time to listen to them really makes this game one that you don't have to play other games for to understand the story.
As for the story of this specific game? I think there will be no issues. Just remember that when a guy finally says the truth, disregard what he earlier said since he did say that now he will say the truth, implying the previous thing wasn't it.(too many people are confused by that)

Yes, it had a PC release which gave you all DLC that console versions had and even a boss rush mode.
I think someone brought it for me for 5 $ dollars during sales.
