We don't take that many photos of Raccoon Dogs and share them with you here anymore... But don't doubt that we love them. We do, so very much.

Being able to see them still and have them look up and act all "You may take a photo of me now" is the absolute best

Species: Raccoon Dog (Wasbeerhond)

Latin name: Nyctereutes Procyonoides

Originates from Europe and Asia.

Current status: Least Concern

…There’s also a Japanese Raccoon Dog, often referred to as Tanuki.

…Despite its name, the Raccoon Dog is neither a Raccoon, nor a Dog, but a species of its own.
