Species: African Pygmy Goose (Afrikaanse dwergeend)

Latin name: Nettapus Auritus

Originates from sub-Saharan Africa.

Current status: Least Concern

…They are not Geese, but a species of Duck. They have a beak like a Goose, but are a species of perching Duck and most closely related to dabbling Ducks (Anatinae).

…The African Pygmy Goose is Africa’s smallest waterfowl, and one of the smallest species of waterfowl in the world.

…The species shows sexual dimorphism, while male and female do look slightly different they are quite similar in appearance.
