Where: Dierenpark Zie-ZOO Volkel, the Netherlands

Sadly, the two first Maned Wolf residents of the zoo passed away - the male of illness, the female of old age. When a new female arrived early 2022, we did not see her for months.

Luckily this all changed and we've seen her almost every visit. Of course, it helps being present at feeding time

Species: Maned Wolf (Manenwolf)

Latin name: Chrysocyon Brachyurus

Originates from South America.

Current status: Near Threatened
