Description
When: October 21, 2021
Where: Dierenpark De Oliemeulen Tilburg, the Netherlands
She was looking particularly shiny this visit.
I know she looks kind of severe in this photo, but her cute curiosity is what will always be at the forefront for me.
Keep in mind though that I definitely wouldn't think her quite as cute if we'd met in the wild, or anywhere else where we're not safe from one another.
Species: Egyptian Cobra (Egyptische cobra of aspis)
Latin name: Naja Haje
Originates from Africa.
Current status: Least Concern
Did you know:
…The Egyptian Cobra is a large species of Snake, with a rough average of 1.4 m/ 4.6 ft in length.
…It’s most distinct features are the nose and head; it has a moderately broud and round snout, and quite big eyes with a round pupil.
…Unlike some other African Cobras, this species of Cobra does not spit venom – it is however still venomous.
