She does look a little bit like an "Amy" or "Maddie." Though, something about her reminds me a little bit like Rikku from ff10. I think it may be because her hair is blond and up, and because her eyes are gently curved and slightly narrow. However, the face is still different in the nose and mouth--so obviously not exactly. Meh. I may be over thinking it.

Still, this is a beautiful piece. Have you showed it to the friend that strongly influenced it? Maybe the the girl in the picture's name can be influence by your friends name, too--that way it sounds similar or has the same meaning as the friend's name. Just a thought.
