SO, a while back I got obsessed with a Phineas and Ferb fanfic called "Humanity" (link here: archiveofourown.org/works/4039… ) and I wanted to draw the characters we'd been introduced to as they appeared in the fic. And then I felt compelled for some reason to draw a whole background and, well, things escalated quickly. I had fun with this though! Took me forever and a day to post it, but here it is in all its glory.

You can read the fic for yourself, but if you want a quick synopsis then basically it's set in a dystopian world that hates children and neurodivergent people for unknown reasons. And since the entire main cast of P&F falls under those two categories that means the characters are not having a fun time. Phineas and Perry (no idea if Perry was ever a secret agent in this world but that's how he acts here and Phineas is fully aware of and relies on it) are on the run hiding from the cops and trying to stay alive, and for the most part they're doing alright with it- if Phineas would just stop getting himself into SITUATIONS, that is. Meanwhile, Doof is, uh, technically employed as a scientist for the corrupt Tri-State-Area government, but he's in a constant state of anxiety because of the incredibly messed up society he's stuck in and everyone hates him. Like, tragic backstories in this world or not the man is considerably worse off here than he ever was in the show and that's saying something.
Candace has also made a few brief cameos but beyond that we have. no idea where the rest of the gang is. Like, where the HECK is Ferb? Where's Isabella? Are they still trapped in the prison children are kept and trained in until they come of age??? Did they escape with Phineas but got separated??? I have so many questions.

The song "Take the Hill" really reminds me of this fic, these beginning lines especially, but the whole song really has the right vibes for it.
