I was actually surprised at the movies myself, thought it would be just a cashcow spinoff. But it's good to see the author's (change of) heart is still clearly visible and the action is still as awesome as ever, too.

One of the few movies that can switch moods half a dozen times without losing its pacing, for me at least.

Definitely! I didn't even know they were doing them, but was blown away when I found out. (which was shortly after 2.22 came out I think). Can't wait for the next one, that's for sure.
