Here comes her target!!!!

This started out as a random render that I started a few years ago of me just using some random models and products that I hadn't used up to that point. Not quite sure if it was another casualty from my old laptop that would always freeze whenever I would try to render it, or if I just never went back to finish it. Either way I finally came back to it with my new computer and decided to complete the render. Of course, in typical Mr. Marcus fashion, one render wasn't enough and I decided to turn it into a series!

I don't actually know what I was going for here...initially, I think I had the idea of a character in an old school side-scrolling "beat 'em up" game a la Final Fight or the Streets of Rage games, but with zombies or something. But the dock background came out much nicer than I thought it would; from the promo shot I thought that it was supposed to be kinda run down and dilapidated. But I just started, and things kinda took on a life of their own.

I've actually been thinking of using Daz and Clip Studio Paint to create digital comics of my stuff as opposed to rendering images and then accompanying them with a (long) write-up like I have been doing for so many years now. Reason one is b/c I realize that my writing style is redundant and I see that I'm not nearly as decent of a writer as I initially thought that I was. Two...I don't really have the energy or interest that I used to when it comes to writing. And three...very few folks actually read the writing anyways. Before DA's switch to Eclipse, I can imagine that reading literature wasn't the easiest thing to since DA isn't really catered to literary works all that much. But now, even I have trouble reading my own stuff in the new format.

However, I would like to be able to continue to involve my characters in stories and such. And I've always wanted to do it in comic form. So...if nothing else, this series is somewhat of a test run on creating images for a comic page layout. I'll post the page here when I finish it...whenever that may be...and we can go from there.

I didn't really have a clever name for this, so I went with "Ginger Commando" for obvious reasons. It's a cutie pie red-head commando gal of sorts on a mission...and that's all I've got!
