The crust of this planet was shattered by the extreme tidal forces of the black hole. This is what the miners called a "Meatball Express", a world that had gotten close enough to a black hole to pick up some very interesting and rare materials, but it wasn't in an orbit that would suck it in, instead it got a huge gravitational assist, and was now being flung away at high speed.
