This took forever to make right. Then once I got the Shape Right I wanted to make it Rainbow... I had to separate each loop and parts in between. I used the two color gradient (From your Foreground and background color) Gimp has under gradient to use those two colors so between the Red and Orange on a layer I selected the blank area and Inverted it and painted in the section using the two color gradient Red>Orange and did that for each section in between the loops
