Jeez, really nice shot man. Heh, the only suggestion I can think of is to minimalize your signature--it's just distracting, is all. I love the colour, and the feeling that you must have been suspended in mid-air over the water to take the picture.

Since so many people pointed out what they like in the photo, perhaps you would find a little bit of minor critique useful:
The f/3.5 caused a depth of field even at that distance so that the photo lost a little bit of sharpness in certain parts. The lens you're using is not very sharp anyway, so losing more of the precious sharpness you have could have been avoiding by picking f/8 or below.
I realise you could not use a tripod but you could at least rest the camera on something perhaps? Even someone's shoulder.
Have you tried trimming the borders to a thinner size? Might produce a stronger effect..
Don't get me wrong, I liked the photograph very much. I'm merely pointing out minor issues which are based on my humble opinion.

I know about the dof issue and it's sad I didn't did that job more profound.
However the issue about handheld or not wouldn't help me alot, as it was on a big tourist ship traveling at 'high' speeds and low shutterspeeds would have ruined everything.
I understand your viewing points and it's appreciated.
