Description
Time for a retrospective!Europe:
England has mastered itself to be the master of Britain, with Scotland coming at a close second. Both countries repelled Nordic Invasions into their nations and England attempted to take over France, but is failing.
France was once The French Empire, only for it to break up into various kingdoms constantly. Nowadays, it is rising back from the brink to expel Englishmen from the mainland and is even revelling at the fall of Germany.
Hispania is back, and has kicked all Muslims out of the country. It even started to own lands in Italy and Tyrrhenia. Together with Portugal, they are discovering new lands.
Portugal is no longer a backwater after bravely expelling the Muslims out of Iberia. It even started to colonize new lands.
Italy no longer exists. In its place, The Papacy, Genoa and Venice have rosen. The Papacy is the greatest authority of The Catholic World, while Genoa and Venice are merchant states that enrich themselves by dominating Mediterranean trade.
Byzantium is merely a shadow of their former self. It only owns half of The Peloponese, Rhodes and Cyprus. The Ruman Turanics have took their place in Europe.
Hungary is one of Europe's mightiest countries, and one of the most Catholic ones.
Germany rose from France's splinters to become an European Hegemon that replaced French and Byzantine rule in Europe. However, after some fights with The Papacy and splinters with the dominant House of Habsburg, they are starting to crumble, with The Habsburgs forming their new country of Austria.
Scandinavia is home to the Twin Northern Giants: Denmark-Norway and Sweden. They once were The Mighty Scandinavian Empire, but that didn't last long. At least, they keep a massive colony in North America.
There's three noteworthy countries in Eastern Europe: The Teutonic Order, Poland-Lithuania and Slavia. The Teutonic Order is a militant union of Catholic Germans in the Baltics and Prussia, Poland-Lithuania is the union of its two member-states that swiftly bounced back the Chechen Yoke. Slavia is an East Slavic union of nations that was once subjugated by The Chechen Yoke, only for them to rise back.
Asia:
Persia might have had some glory days, but as anyone knows, no empire can last forever. They lost many of their North African and Arabian lands to Egypt, and has lost lands in West-Central Asia to The Ruman Turanics and Chechnya.
Turan is dead, and on its place lies lands pertaining to the Turkic parts of Persia, Chechnya, Mongolia and China. However, another Turan has risen in Rum, and has swiftly conquered Bulgaria and most of the Byzantine Realms.
India is no longer isolated. It all started by meeting Dravidia, and now, they have fought back against their Persian tormentors and is trading a lot with China.
China is not just a Han state, but rather a Han state using other ethnicities as internal tributaries. It was once mighty enough to conquer Manchuria from Korea, but that no longer seems the case, as Mongolia has seceded from them and Korea regained those lands.
Korea has mostly gave up their most aggressive characteristics for a militantly pacific country in Asia.
Japan has finally united Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu. Now, it's time to trade with Korea and China.
Africa:
Carthage has risen again after being under the rule of multiple overlords.
Ethiopia looks stagnant at first, but is enriching itself by trading with Egypt.
Ghana is the dominant power of West Africa. It rose to power by winning against Morocco, Egypt and Kanem.
The nations of Kongo and Zimbabwe are rather new to the world, but Zimbabwe is managing to become a hub of richness while Kongo is the first African state to hold an alliance with an European country (Portugal).
Americas:
Mexico (or Mexica) is country that constantly swings between states claiming these dubious names. At least, Mexico is going to be the ultimate name for this region.
The Mayans have been one of the greatest hubs of culture and science in the world. Their interactions with Hispania seems surprising, at last.
Peru has conquered all countries in their region and is now The Neo-Incan Empire.
Portugal settled on South America in order to find new lands to develop.
Oceania:
The Polynesian Federation is the sole hegemon of The Pacific. As far many know, it is uncertain if it will last forever or not.
