Shining Force for the Sega Genesis, Force member and (semi-canon) second in command of the Force, knight, paladin.Admittedly, when Shining Force first released for the Sega, the memory limitations of the time prevented a lot of the original story from being included (character backstories and expanded personalities and the like). It was when the GameBoy Advance re-release, Shining Force Ressurection of the Dark Dragon, showed those previously cut backstories that I grew to become a shipper of Mae with the player main character, Max.
