I got the idea for this picture from a local gothic/fetish clothing store. They had a window display of a fetished up girl flying a bat shaped kite. I really liked the way it looked so I decided to rip off the ideaThe bat kite I modeled in 3d studio. The grass is a composite of about 6 different 3D grass renderings I had from various internet sources, same with sky.
Alot of adjustment layers were used to create the shift from the nice sunny day to the dark and stormy day. I think about 40 layers total for the scene.
The girl I'm still not happy with, she's just a stand in till I shot a model in that pose. I don't know what it is about her that bothers me. I drew the body and pasted on a real face she was about 400X600px then shrunk down into the picture. Maybe the detail loss is what bothers me... I dunno.

I like the picture overall....the concept is totally awesome and the shifting effect is pretty cool too, it adds a lot to the scene.
However, I think maybe the kite should be a higher off the ground and (if possible) make the grass look like it's swaying w/ the wind the direction that the kite is flying.
I also agree that the woman needs something...I not quite sure what....maybe a different pose or something?
