Panel 1: Nick struggling to get out of the snow, Carl walking up.

Carl: "Don't worry, business is separate from my staying at the manor. No one else will investigate while I stay here."

Panel 2: Carl helping Nick out of the snow.

Nick: "why are you helping me anyways?"

Nick 2: "You don't even approve of me trying to get with Belle, and you don't trust her."

Panel 3: Carl crossing his arms as he backed up again.

Carl: "Because Zach and I will teach you things you should know regardless of who you're interested in, or even just for self-defense or your own health, Mr. Can't-Say-No-To-Ice-Cream."

Panel 4: Nick clenching his teeth and throwing a punch that Carl dodges.

Carl: "Because, simply, you need a challenge."

Panel 5: Carl throwing a kick at Nick that is blocked.

Carl: "Everyone needs a rival."
