Comic 207: Absent With LeavePanel 1: Emmett turning around and behind him is all the soldier's gear in a pile. Next to Emmett, with one hand to his forehead in exasperation.
Emmett: "-warriors?"
Panel 2: Emmett grabbing Vox and shaking him. Vox has a single finger raised as he speaks, but his face looks dizzy.
Emmett: "WHAT"
Emmett 2: "THE"
Emmett 3: "HELL?!"
Vox: "They weren't in the army because they wanted to fight."
Panel 3: Emmett lifting Vox off the ground.
Emmett: "So?!"
Vox: "Your display made them feel superfluous. I actually had to change a couple hundred variables so those who saw it wouldn't attack us, but those included their eagerness to fight."
Panel 4: Emmett setting Vox down.
Emmett: "Okay... So the rest of the soldiers engaged in combat still want to fight, right?"
Vox: "That is correct."
Panel 5: Vox tilting his head slightly with a blank expression as he speaks.
Emmett: "Sorry I overreacted."
Vox: "It was... expected."
