Zachary "Zach" Stiles - A true werewolf, Zach is capable of, with concentration, shifting into a human/wolf hybrid form, but usually is forced to change during a full moon. Often he will have a partial shift due to extreme emotions or duress, but has a fairly good control over his shifting generally, much to the relief of the Manor residents. Unfortunately, early on in the story he doesn't have as much control, so Emmett made a shock collar for him to wear. Emmett is his closest friend, despite the fact that Zach doesn't understand his techno-babble most of the time.

The collar has a remote control (Emmett actually makes one for each of the residents), with three buttons. The red button turns on the collar's electric jolt. Blue turns off the electric jolt. Green unlocks the collar (which only happens once Zach has enough control not to need it). Zach wears it 24-hours a day until he can control his changes and animalistic urges in werewolf form. Zach also wears dog tags on a necklace. One merely says "Zach". The other Emmett's email address on it. Why? In case Zach is found with just the tags, someone can contact Emmett to collect Zach. Any attempt to lookup the address triggers a code that alerts Emmett. It's only a minor point, since it never happens in the comic.

Zach's clothing has a few buttons as one might see. Originally Zach's clothing kept getting torn up whenever he changed into werewolf form. When Lydia saw his wardrobe had some hip clothing in it she didn't want to see destroyed, she took it upon herself to modify them so they will unsnap when he changes, instead of tearing it to shreds.

A bit of a jock who loves to compete, he sometimes gets carried away and over-emotional about losing or even winning, but he at least has the honor and courage to apologize if he does. Typically highly courageous and extremely angry, but like a true wolf, if he's terrified by something unknown or more powerful than him, he'll huddle in a ball or hide in a corner. Over time he gets even more
control over his animalistic instincts, but that's not till early volume 3.

Extremely strong even in human form, Zach is even stronger in wolf hybrid form. Able to stand on even ground with a non-bloodthirsty Morty in werewolf form, Zach still can be taken down by surprise (hard since his hearing and sense of smell is so much stronger), by strong tranquilizers, or by electric shock. Fangs and sharp claws in hybrid-wolf form, Zach is also fast, and agile. He has black hair with brown front bangs, and golden/yellow eyes. These eyes glow when he's not in control of his urges. His fur is a grayish brown in werewolf form.
