That ending gave me the chills. Easily the best moment in the whole series, I love how cynical Max vs how bright and shining David is, but they both showed weakness and gave in to the truth. David gave in to how cruel the world really is, and Max gave in to acknowledging David as a human. Their relationship really grew that day, the atmosphere and script was perfect. I could rant on and on, did I make it obvious how much I adore this scene?

Agreed on pretty much all counts! It's funny how moments like this show up in the unlikeliest of places - I certainly would never have expected a show called Camp Camp to hit as hard as it did. They're going to have a hell of a time living up to this scene in season two.
