After seeing Media Hunter's review of Tom & Jerry: The Movie, I agreed with him that the movie would have been better if it were a road trip movie about T&J trying to get back to Tom's owner while putting their differences aside and working together. So I thought what if it was more like The Brave Little Toaster?
Here is how I have it be like:
In this version, Robin would be the daughter of Tom's owners, and she would be the first one to notice that Tom was left behind after they moved and is sad her pet is gone. Tom would also want to get back to Robin since the two of them have a strong bond together. Therefore, Tom would reluctantly rely on Jerry to help him get to Robin and her parents. Along the way, the two of them would face some obstacles. First would be Figg and Lickboot, who would be a wealthy married couple here and would take in Tom and Jerry so they can be play mates for Ferdinand, their dog. The duo's next obstacle would be Dr. Applecheeks, whose motive would remain the same as the actual movie, then the two of them would escape and free the other animals. The duo's last obstacle would be Captain Kiddie, who is the owner of the carnival in this version. Kiddie would hold T&J hostage for his own reasons, and Robin and her parents would be passing through the carnival. Robin spots Tom and tries to get him, but Kiddie tries to hide Tom from Robin. Also at the carnival, Figg, Lickboot, and Applecheeks have tracked T&J down to take them back. This results in a a quarrel with the four groups, which end up causing a fire and Robin is in the mix. T&J save Robin by working together, and everyone is reunited with Tom's owners.
Also, I would keep T&J silent, remove Pugsy and Frankie, and the Cat Gang. No sure about the songs. What do you think?
