Description
Here we see series 8 champions Apollo, series 9 champions Carbide and series 10 champions Eruption. Apollo in series 8 had one of the most powerful flippers ever seen on Robot Wars, and because of it being so powerful and the robot's name being Apollo the flipper was dubbed as a launcher, often tossing its opponents out of the arena sometimes but it lost a few fights due to reliability issues.Carbide in series 9 were the runners up for the title in series 8 finishing 2nd, but in series 9 it won all its fights by knock-out thanks to its very powerful bar spinner. It took out previous champions Apollo twice in its heat with hardly any difficulty. The bar was responsible for once again causing damage to the arena wall and also launching a part of Aftershock into the bulletproof glass.
Eruption won all but one of its fights in series 10 as it was superbly well driven, its only loss of series 10 was against previous champs Carbide as Eruption was immobilised on one side almost immediately before becoming immobilised altogether a minute or less later. As it finished 2nd place in that heat it qualified for the 10 Robot Rumble in the Grand Final and won that fight by keeping out of the way and saving gas. In the Grand Final they faced Carbide again resulting in many who was watching predict Carbide was going to pull off its fourth victory over Eruption, wrong - as once again Eruption which was well driven had charged into Carbide head on a few times causing internal damage to the bar spinner of Carbide. That final fight lasted the whole 3 minutes and was one of the best fights ever in Robot Wars history.
