Ooo, poor Steady Waters. The cat illustrated here is named Steady Waters. She is another character from the book I'm hoping to publish. She currently stood as the general for the freedom fighers' group and was killed by King Azulon in the battle for the throne. Steady Waters suffered severe damage to her head and ears during the battle, as well as a slit open belly and a torn throat.
I use her as a signal to my readers that the hope for freedom has died with Steady Waters as she is brutally murdered.
This was also just a little test of my shading abilities. I think I did pretty well, but I'm still trying to figure out the blood.
