Mieko's latest client, a... "scientist" of questionable repute, had tasked her with investigating the endless salt flats outside Porta Praetoria in Gyr Abania. Not one to turn down money, and less one to give up a chance to put her hapless Au Ra companion in some sort of danger, the currently-Viera gladly accepted the task. It was simple enough -- estimate the moisture content remaining beneath the hard-baked upper crust of the salt flats. Following her friend's lead, Badb took her first hesitant steps onto the surprisingly thin crust of the flats.
