Shock! A coloring of Shoxxe's that DOESN'T involve the use of Scuba Gear or "The Mask"? NO WAI!

Yep, it's true I am a Mario fan. Probably not the biggest one in fandom but I knows mah games. Figure one more coloring of Daisy wouldn't hurt seeing how I never colored her "normal".

Had a bit of delay though, I got a little dizzy while coloring and had to rest for a bit as I ventilated the room.

You could say the decision came from me being a slight Daisy fan, "consistency", being a Mario fan and a recent Radio PSI chat bumping into Gallantmon8 prompted this (though I imagine he meant me DRAWING her with me own pencil).

It was either color this or play a bit more Twinbee Rainbow Bell Adventure to waste away my Sunday night.

Something you might notice is the bit of Burning used in the picture. Before you throw a fit, I'd like to remind some people that in the early Mario days, Yoichi Kotabe (or was it Koizumi that did the manual art?) used "Burning" for Mario color schemes. This even shows in Paper Mario. You don't believe me?

Here's some examples:

Amazing what a little history can do with a color scheme eh?

Oh and the cheap background is to give it that Capcom Super Move/Hyper Combo look, guess I had Street Fighter 4 in mind but sour grapes with the lack a next gen console to get it.

You could also say "Falcon Punch" too but really isn't that a little overplayed for its own good?

It all works, and is fantastic! This is seriously good pro level work from both of you.

It captures everything you want when you think "Mario..."

Jeez, that was fast! o_O

The great thing is, it kinda fix that confusing issue with the punch/knee! w00t!

And the "cheap" background is put to most excellent use as well.

Sure was, trying to dawdle less in the coloring process.

Around the last minute, I thought of the "burst" effect for the background to emphasize the power behing her punch.
