I've seen quite a lot photos about gulls just going to take the leap. Here the environment is pretty desolate, it's like the two birds are the last ones remaining in the whole world. Then it's the time for some exploration, which is well seen.

great capture and perspective. i like the way the wall winds through the photo. is it intentional, that the focus is on the dove behind the one taking off?

i was waiting by the wall for the sun to set when i noticed these two coming close by to me.
I had my focus on the closer to me at first, but he waddled towards me then began to look in the direction of the sea that was when i decided to change my focus to the behind. Shortly after the second one took off.
