Personality: Citrine is stubborn and determined in everything and anything she sets her mind to, she's very proud and independent as well, not letting the fact that she's a defect ever get to her. She has a sharp tongue with mostly anyone, but is very trustworthy and supportive when she gets used to you. Despite being more like a Ruby, she is much smarter than one, able to come up with great plans and pathways to doing something before doing it. She is also slightly temperamental and has a lot of spunk for someone so small, confronting those who she thinks has wronged her only when she feels that they've done it persistently and intentionally.

Backstory: An aristocrat originally from Silver Diamond's court, but was overcooked and instead made more to resemble a Ruby. She was still very intellectual like a Citrine, but she took pleasure in fighting than in sitting around thinking and criticizing. She was then taken in by Purple where she chose to be a common soldier, training herself to fight and even summon a weapon. She wasn't very much of an artistic gem to begin with, but took up painting as a stress reliever, as the Gems from other courts constantly annoyed her.

A few thousand years later, she stumbled across another defective Gem, singing alone to herself. When she turned around and saw Citrine, she immediately stopped and teared up complete embarrassment. Citrine quickly assured her that she had a beautiful voice, but it didn't do much to consol the sensitive Gem. Citrine continued to tell her that she was a great singer and stayed with the Gem until she composed herself. They slowly began to talk, and the Gem soon opened up to Citrine. This Gem, was Paraiba.

After their first encounter, Citrine noticed how surprisingly humble Paraiba was about her work, despite it being very worth praise and pride. Likewise, Paraiba noticed Citrine's constant depreciating commentary on her own work, despite IT being much better than most beginners. Although she was very shy, Paraiba did constantly see Citrine train and paint, and secretly admired her confidence.They found common ground in helping each other find the beauty in each others' work and helping each other improve. Soon, they began to get used to each other's constant presence and started coming up with excuses to be around each other.

They finally accepted they were madly in love, and fused for the first time on accident in the middle of working on a mural of Purple Diamond. When they did fuse, they noticed they both felt like they were supposed to: Paraiba felt confidence and pride, and Citrine felt grace and calmness. They kept it a secret from Purple for fear of how she'd react to seeing their fusion, but she had seen them their first time and when she talked to them about it, she said that it was perfectly fine for them to stay fused if they wanted, especially after seeing their chemistry together.

With that said, Paraiba and Citrine fused again, not only because they felt good themselves, but because they were both happy the other felt good being fused.
