Day 16: Knights/Princesses

Atemu's not sure what to think of her newest personal guard. Yuugi was assigned to escort Atemu across the mountains to Yuugi's home town of Domino.

Anyone remember this au of fem knight Yuugi and Princess Atemu? (It use to be Pharaoh but I think Princess or queen suit the au better)

Random notes for this au:
• Despite coming from a the neighbouring town of Domino, Yuugi quickly climbed the ranking among the royal knights before being assigned as Atemu's personal guard
• Atemu wasn't sure what to think of her new knight, that is until Yuugi took her helmet off after fighting off bandits.
• Atemu has a confused crush on Yuugi, it doesn't help that Yuugi's meant to keep an eye on the adventurous Princess
• Ryou's the local witch, she lives in the forest and rarely comes to town as they keep trying to burn her at the stake. Yuugi goes over for tea and does do business with Ryou. She tries to keep this from the kingdom as it could compromise her position
• Malik's a blacksmith, after holding an uprising and failing she is now a blacksmith and if needed will go to the battle field
• Thief is a bandit of the forests, she's basically the one Yuugi's suppose to protect Atemu from as she often breaks into the kingdom to try to assassinate the princess. She has evaded capture so far
• Tau's an artist (She makes art out of a variety of materials)
• Bakura's a baker and Ryou's familiar. He stays around town a lot to pick up supplies for Ryou. He can turn into a cat
• Malik and Bakura run around thieving together. Ryou tells them off, but keeps anything he likes from the loot
• Tau is a shadow demon and lives out by Ryou's place, Ryou didn't invite him but he does use the guy to protect his property and help warn him of unwelcome visitors when Bakura's running around town.
• Tau's pronouns are: She/Her/He/Him/They/Them
• Tau and Bakura get into a lot of fights. Ryou made them a get along shirt
• Anzu is a street dancer
