New Creepazoids! I know I say this all the time, but this set was a blast! Super heavily influenced by the mutant craze that permeated seemingly every toy line of the early '90s. Everyone wanted a piece of that TMNT pie!

Lots of references to '90s toys here, especially Toxic Crusaders, right down to the eye-bleeding use of neon colors. I also really liked how old toy lines would just use totally random concepts for characters, anything from hippies to athletes. It was fun to see designers let their imaginations run wild, back when every toy wasn't based on a cartoon or movie or some other existing IP (for good examples, look up Zany Zone, Savage Mondo Blitzers, and the work of designer James Groman). This is my loving tribute to that magical time of pure toyetic nonsense!
