Cool! That's great you're studying animation! It's very rewarding. I don't remember how many frames exactly--not that many, really, since I loop them a lot for this one. Probably around 700 or so? I drew them all on tracing paper with pencil, then scanned them in and adjusted the brightness/contrast in Photoshop, then sequenced them in Director and added sound in Premiere. It's the old-fashioned way of doing it!

I haven't done much with animations because I haven't had a lot of time but I am going to be doing it for a class next semester. I only have photoshop and flash so it looks like that's what I will be using (pooor college student!) Thanks for checking out my gallery I haven't added anything in at least a year but I plan on adding a lot over the next month or 2!
I doubt I'll be able to do anything as smooth as your animations for awhile but that's my goal by summer!

Totally! I never thought of animation as a specator's sport, but that'd be awesome! Although animating might seem amazing, you'd get super bored sitting and watching me draw dorky little characters over and over and over...
The animations I've got on here are just for fun (and entering into festivals), but I also freelance animation. I'm actually trying to get a job at Pixar right now--I've already applied, now it's just the waiting game...

Thank you! I sent my reel in last week, so they would have gotten it Thursday or so. If I do hear back, it probably won't be for a good week or so. I'm sure they have a lot of reels to go through! I'm hopeful, but it's not the end of the world if I don't get it. I'm more concerned with moving forward with my art and career--if it's with Pixar, then great! If it's with someone else, that's cool, too!
That's good you have such a curiosity of how things work! A lot of people lack that drive. I'd love to show you how to animate--I could type it out and explain it, but it would be even more boring than showing you!

Oh man i would be SO excited if you started working at Pixar, I would watch for your name in the credits and be like "hey i "know" that guy!" I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!
I think teaching would be a wonderful idea, you'd help make the world a better place by filling it with young artists. The world needs more art and with that more people to teach and spread what they know. I surround myself with talented people, musician and artists alike... They always seem to know how to make everything around them beautiful

Ha, ha! Thank you! I'm hopeful, but I know even if Pixar doesn't hire me, I'll find another outlet for what I want to do. As long as I'm making fun cartoons, I don't care where I am!
Ah, that's true. There's a lot to share and eperience when teaching, both for the teacher and the student! I would love to nurture creativity and inspiration in people, either through teaching or just by making films. I guess I pictured going into film as my career, and maybe teaching later on. We'll see! I've got time to think about it, anyway!
