Vengor has no memories from before the year YS2980, when he was found alone in the wild near Veran. He was raised and taught everything he knows by the mercenary partners who discovered him, Aaron and Cayne, both of whom he thinks of as his parents.

In the year 2985, when Vengor was still a boy, the trio met the ex-assassin, Gon, and a younger child named Creg who followed the man everywhere. Vengor felt an instant connection to and responsibility for Creg, so was delighted when his guardians invited Gon to join their little mercenary company.

Ten years have passed, and though Vengor is happy to be loved, and to belong, he feels misplaced in the world. He ought to be elsewhere.
