Description
I commissioned this brilliant 3D artwork from based on my favorite 1966 Batman episode, Death in Slow Motion, which features my favorite villain of the series, Frank Gorshin's The Riddler. In the episode, there is a classic knockout gas scene where The Riddler flirts with a beautiful ticket teller (played by Judy Pace), before putting her to sleep with a bouquet of flowers: www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjzEOh…Daz came up with the brilliant idea to set the episode in the actual 1920's instead of the 1960's, which makes it seem like these slapstick characters portrayed by Riddler's goons are right at home. He also came up with the idea to have an usherette instead of a ticket teller in a theater, since traditional 20's ticket booths were too small for what we were trying to do. Daz also was kind enough to allow characters he created for his own works to play roles in this alternative version of the episode. I always liked the moll and the main goofy German henchman from this episode as much as I liked Riddler and the ticket teller, so I wanted a scene where the goon gets to flirt.
I got to add my comic style lettering to the scene and I'm happy with this. I highly recommend Dazinbane for 3D commissions and he's fun to collaborate with as well. You can see his unlettered and original versions of this story here:
