To a lot of us being brought back from the dead sounds like a pretty fine idea. In the case of the Rotting golem maybe not so much. Composed of usually 3 rotting corpses they're stitched back together and since they're still decomposing to some extent their body's are filled with pus and stink to a nauseating degree. They serve as a guardian for certain locations such as their creators lair.
