So I watch today episode of SMG4 called "Trust no one" and in the story we don't know who took SMG3 notebook, and at the end the spoiler was the SMG4 version of mario took SMG3 notebook and mario give it to "the King" and SMG3 has to go on a long adventure with the rest of the friends. so a few of the toons/character are ready to take back SMG3 notebook, but now you know... Unless I can think was the theory was about the King
