Slenderman brainwashes his victims. Alex, if you watch the videos, was stalked slendy since child hood. Slendy will go after victims that saw him in their childhood. Oh and in the beginning during the very first entry. I knew in my gut that Alex didn't give jay all the tapes I just new it. It's amazing that it wasn't brought to jays attantion early on.
