Blooky's room literally turns into space---it's the perfect excuse to draw more galaxy art (and this ghostie, too)! Why haven't I done this sooner?This time, I tried doing the galaxy part with just regular Crayola pencils instead of Prisma. The colors don't blend as smoothly (I probably should have watched a tutorial first, lah!), but I like that they aren't as saturated either.
Anyway, this was a test, since I'm considering buying just Crayola pencils instead of the more expensive ones. If I can create art I like and save my pennies, you can bet I'll go with that option!

Oh yeah, Crayola is much easier on your wallet than Prisma! I think it's great you can work with them. Blooky looks cute as always. I like his squiggly mouth

Yes! And if I can use printer-reject paper, that's great too! (Apparently the printers on campus will occasionally freak out and print reams of blank papers with just one or two lines of wingdings across the top?)

You did a space background with regular pencils better than I did even after I watched several tutorials! XD
Ooh I can't wait to see what else you do with Crayola pencils - I remember wishing I had Prisma colors and then after seeing how many amazing things people can do with cheaper material decided to just keep practicing with the pencils I had, and you know what I really think I've gotten better! Plus it's so rewarding being able to draw something good and saying you didn't use any special materials to do it!

Yeah, I've watched some tutorials on drawing with Prisma pencils---but the techniques don't quite cross over well.
This is the final product after multiple practice attempts on scratch paper, haha!
I was gifted a small set of Prismas long ago, and I was thinking I'd have to buy new ones---but then like you, I got inspired by artists who would use other stuff.
I used to think that I needed "good" materials to make good art, but now I think it's mostly just the artist practicing and taking time.
I liked that part too---Blooky was my first favorite character of the game!
