Tadaa~ The first Turtle Tots React of 2016! A lot of people have suggested a TTR where the boys react to vegetables, but I decided to simply go with food they don’t like. In this case, Splinter’s homemade sewage-surprise stew with algae and worms (this recipe is also a Hamato-family secret). The reason why I didn't go with veggies is because the reactions were more interesting this way, and partly because it's not easy to come by fresh greens in the sewers...

I based these reactions slightly on the first episode of TMNT 2012, where we see the brothers eating algae (and worms) in the kitchen.

Donatello looks pretty unappalled by algae and worms in the show, so I figured that Donnie would be rather selective when it comes to food as a kid. His imagination in this pic depictures a biohazard sign, stinky chemical compounds, and unappetizing germs.

Leonardo would of course try and be the good boy who eats what’s on his plate. Even if every bite makes him feel like he’s dying… I’d like to think that as he grew older, he sorta learned to enter an almost meditative trance where the taste doesn’t bother him. Little Leo is surrounded by the thoughts of his own demise and hitodamas (japanese human souls).  

Raphael is as always the stubborn one. His attitude in this picture is more or less “Welp, guess I’m not eating today”. The food apparently reminds him of various distasteful objects, such as puking cockroaches and happy poop.

I love every single turtle tots react you make/made. It's always interesting and makes me giggle a lot.
I love the way what they thinking. All of them are hilarious
According to your previous TTR comics, their personalities building up nicely. Leo is the good boy, Donnie is the careful one, Raph playing by his own rules, and Mikey is full of joy

I always imagined Donnie as someone who will eat proven nutritious food even if it's gross.  Mikey will eat any old garbage, but Donnie will eat specially nutritionally-formulated glop as long as he has a good scientific understanding of everything that's in it.

Yeah, that sounds like Donnie. I think that knowing the nutritious benefit of the food might help motivate him into try and eating it, but if it tastes really awful, he's gonna have problem eating it anyway.

Well it's not like we're helpless.  We can make breakfast without Mikey's help.

RAPHAEL
(brashly)
What breakfast would that be, Leo?  Your pancakes with the raw goopy center surprise?  Or maybe one of Donnie's mystery shakes?

DONATELLO
For your information, my shakes are carefully formulated for optimal nutritional value.

RAPHAEL
Yeah?  Well you'd think you'd be smart enough to make a shake that doesn't wanna come back up as soon as it goes down.

DONATELLO
Oh you're one to talk.  I don't recall you ever trying to make eggs where you didn't set off the smoke alarm.

RAPHAEL
Okay, fine, I char my eggs.  Happy?  All the more reason we need Mikey.

Leo, do you ever want another fluffy pancake?

DONATELLO
Well, Mikey's pancakes are dreamy.

LEONARDO
Okay, I'll admit.  Mikey's cooking got a lot better at the farmhouse.  But we can still cook for ourselves.  I can practice making better pancakes.

RAPHAEL
Fine.  Practice all you want.  And maybe someday you'll reach pancake nirvana.  But that's sure as hell not gonna happen this morning.  I'm hungry *now*, and I'm not exactly eager to be your pancake guinea pig again.

LEONARDO
Hey, there's cereal on top of the fridge.

RAPHAEL
Leo!

I just noticed that Leo's tombstone read 'he finished his plate' XD oh my goodness
XD meditative trance? ...yeah Leo did look like he was in deep concentration in that episode when consuming the only source of food at the time. (Poor Donnie visibly showed his disgust with the worms and algae during that episode even after all those years :/ poor guy-poor turtles) Raph looked like he was just trying to get the food down his system as quick as possible. Mikey, oh Mikey the turtle with the Ultimate Stomach of Steel ^_^

It's a secret ninja breathing technique developed to allow you to eat disgusting stuff in order to survive. ...or something like that.

I imagine that they must have gotten used to the algae and worms sooner or later, but that Splinter's (and later Mikey's) attempt to cook it to something more appealing usually backfired. I don't think Splinter made any more sewege surprise stew after this batch...
