Description
Trial of a GlaceonWritten by Myrrorfox
Part 1:
Girl 1: “Hey, Erica! I heard you won this year’s national cooking competition.”
Girl 1: “I heard that your cooking is considered to be the finest work of art since your father’s.”
ERICA: “Oh come on. You’re making me blush.”
Girl 1: “But, you’re like perfect. You’ve good perfect grades, your cooking is great, you’re rich, and you’ve even got the looks.”
ERICA: “Oh, stop it. Listen, as much as I like to talk, I got take care of a few things, okay?”
Girl 2: “Oh, sure. Go ahead.”
Erica hummed to herself happily as the teenaged girl walked down the hall of one of the top cooking schools in the world. Being the daughter of a large food magnate, she almost seems to have everything she could ever need and want.
Then, went near a half-opened door and peeked through and saw a boy roughly a year or two older than her kneading some dough. An Eevee was watching him do the work.
ERICA: “Hey, pleb. Watcha doin’?”
KENTA: “My name isn’t ‘pleb’. It’s Kenta. Can I help you?”
Erica then went over and knocked over sack of a flour, spilling its contents not only on KENTA’s dough, but also the Eevee, who started a coughing fit.
KENTA: [Turns in anger] “What? Do you need something so badly you needed to ruin my cooking?”
The Eevee growled, not taking kindly to his new white complexion or the powdery taste.
Erica: [Flicks her hair] “I just needed your full undivided attention. And yes. Daddy’s been asking if you have told your old man about our offer to buy that filthy shack of yours.”
KENTA: “No. My dad would’ve said the same, anyway. We’re never selling our noodle shop to you. And, don’t look down on it when you’ve never even tasted our cooking.”
ERICA: “As if your third-rate cooking could match up to mine, Mr. Number Two.”
KENTA: “If you’re done, go away.”
EEVEE: “Veee!”
ERICA: [laughs] “Such barbaric tone, savage. You might be my senpai, but I’m far superior to you. You should show a bit more respect. Oh!”
Erica spotted a thin silver chain around Kenta’s neck and went up to him. She picked it and slid it out of his shirt. Hanging from the chain was a blue hexagonal crystal framed by a silvery metal. While it was simple, it had a mystical feel that almost seemed to entrance Erica.
ERICA: [palms the pendant] “Well now. What’s such a treasure doing around the neck of poor chef like you?”
KENTA: “...It’s a momento of my mother. It’s none of your business, though.”
ERICA: “Well, maybe it is.” [silently undos the chain] “I think it would be better around my neck.”
KENTA: “Hands off.” [brushes Erica’s hand off] “I promised my mother I would cherish it. Isn’t the brooch on your red ribbon enough.”
ERICA: [Fingers her brooch] “You shouldn’t raise your voice on me. If you’re not careful, your shop just might end up like that other third-rate shop that was bulldozed a week ago.”
KENTA: “To think you would force a great restaurant like Goldeen Sushi to close just to expand your already giant empire. How could you do that when you never at least tried their food?”
ERICA: “The exquisite foods by the Colis Household is all the world ever needs. There’s no room for chefs with no class. You can either join us or bite the dust.”
KENTA: “I’d sooner bite the dust than join you.”
ERICA: “Hmph. Suit yourself. Pleb.”
Erica left with a rude slam of the door as Eevee simply barked in her direction a few times.
KENTA: [Wiping Eevee’s fur] “Forget about her Eevee. Let’s just get you cleaned up and get my dish finished.”
Kenta gives Eevee a friendly petting, and the little Evolution Pokemon purrs in delight.

Local Cemetery
4:46 PM
A few hours later, Kenta and his Eevee were headed for their destination. In his hands was a tray holding a bowl of noodles and another of Pokemon food.
KENTA: “Brr. It’s colder than usual.”
EEVEE: “V-Vee.”
KENTA: “Phew! We’re here.”
In front of the two were two graves, one larger than the other. Kenta placed the tray in front of the two graves and began praying. Eevee sat next to his trainer and did the same. After a moment, the two finally got up and made a walk back home. Unbeknownst the two, however, Erica had followed them to see what they were doing.
ERICA: “Tch. I thought I could dig up some dirt on that pleb, but here he was just praying for a bunch of dead bodies that can’t even smell his gruel.”
With a humph, Erica came out and kicked the food over and crushed the bowls with two hard stomps.
ERICA: “I hope you two enjoyed the taste of my shoe.” [laughs]
As Erica left, however, the smaller grave seemed to glow a vibrant blue.
???: “Disrespectful pup.”
Erica suddenly felt a chill. Not just from the cold or the voice, but also from something alien.
ERICA: “What was that? … Who’s there? ... Stupid cold. Though not stupid as that third-rate chef. His fault his stupid time-to-feed-the-dead ritual dragged me out. I’m taking a shower, my head’s suddenly itchy, and I’m feeling sweaty.”

Colis Mansion
Erica’s bedroom
6:10 PM
Erica let out a contented sigh as she put on a red nightgown and her ribboned brooch.
ERICA: “That felt wonderful, though that new shampoo I bought must be cheap, because my hair is still itchy. I’m gonna ask daddy to sue them once he gets back from the Johto region. Wait.”
Erica felt something in her hair. She didn’t know what it was, but to her growing worry, that something seemed to grow as well. Slowly, she made her way towards a full view mirror, then let out a scream. Out of her hair sprouted two turquoise diamond protrusions that resembled ears. Her hair blonde hair turned a similar shade of blue as three diamond-shaped crystals grew in front of her. Two diamond shaped dangles grew out of the sides of her new crystal “crown”.
ERICA: “What’s happening to me?”
Knock. Knock.
Maid: “My lady. I heard screaming is everything alright?”
ERICA: “Don’t AHHH!”
Erica covered her face as she felt her skull shift painfully. She could barely hear the sound of her bedroom doors open.
Maid: “My lady. Is something AHHHH!”
Erica looked to see that her personal maid had a shocked face. Not waiting for her next reaction, Erica flung herself at the window and broke through. She braced herself for impact, but suddenly found herself somersaulting in air and landed on her feet. Fear immediately took over and she ran through the gates. As she ran, more blue fur grew all over her body, but she was too panicked to care. She barely registered that she ran into the town square until…
Man 1: “What is that?”
Woman 1: “Is she some kind of Pokemon?”
Kid 1: “Mommy? Is she a Pokemon or a monster?”
Woman 2: “Don’t get too close. She could be dangerous.”
Erica found herself surrounded by the town’s people and backed up until her foot hit something hard. She turned around and saw that she ran into a fountain. Subconsciously, she looked at the water’s reflection and saw that her head has become that of a Glaceon. She looked at her hands and found to her horror that they were covered in blue fur and had pink pads and dark blue claws. She felt her tailbone is unusually long and knew she had grown the tail of a Glaceon as well.
Man 2: “She looks like a Glaceon on two feet. A hybrid?”
Male Trainer 1: “She looks rare. I’m gonna catch her.”
The trainer threw an Ultraball at her, much to the Glaceon hybrid’s shock and confusion.
ERICA: “NOOOOO!”
Erica suddenly launched a blue beam that hit not only the Pokeball, but also the trainer’s hand.
Male Trainer: “Ahh!”
Male 1: “Are you okay?”
Male Trainer: “She...she’s a monster.”
ERICA: “No. I…”
Woman 2: “To think she would hurt a young trainer just for trying to catch her.”
Man 1: “Someone call the police.”
Man 2: “Are sure the police is enough?”
Female Trainer 1: “I have a fire type. I could easily beat her.”
Male Trainer 2: “I have two fire types. Let’s drive her out.”
Erica couldn’t take anymore and ran further down. She felt many stares at her, but she continued to sprint further. Once she was sure no one is following her, she ducked into a dark alley and cried silently. Surprisingly hours passed, then, she began whispering.
ERICA: “Why? Why is this happening? This isn’t my fault. This isn’t my fault. This isn’t my fault… It’s that PLEB. He did this to me. He’ll be sorry.”
Just as she said that, the door a few feet away from her opened, and Kenta came out with a trash bag and threw it near the other bags, just as he turned back in, however, he took notice of the Glaceon hybrid looking at him in a tattered nightgown crouched in the corner.
KENTA: “...Who…”
ERICA: “YOU!”
To be continued…
