Okay, in order to explain this better, I feel I should use an example. Let's say Halloween Town from the Nightmare Before Christmas, as it appears as a world in Kingdom Hearts. This one would be more like its own universe: as in, it has its own Earth. But, that Earth is almost certainly not at all the Earth of the Ultima-Verse, beyond being the Earth. Plus, planets like Namek, Vegeta, Cybertron, etc., do not exist there. If anything, that Earth would be more akin to real life (beyond the Holiday Worlds, which fall more under the category of a "unique plane of reality") Meanwhile, in something like the Crime Syndicate version of the Ultima-Verse, the Earth is closer to the main Ultima-Verse Earth, as is the rest of the universe (barring the whole "evil is the dominant force" situation).
