Description
I would like to introduce my first webcomic series, Daily Holidays (The name I would stick for now, may or may not change in the future). The webcomic series is mainly about Thanksgiving's adventures in taking care of the younger American-born holidays. She is aided by Kwanzaa, and St. Patrick's Day. Together, these three navigate their life in the modern world (with occasional historical flashbacks). The cast for the webcomic are primarily personified holidays. They will make up the majority of the cast, but mortal humans will be present as well. The main cast age variety ranges from people physically eight-years-old to twenty-years-old. Everyone in the main cast are holidays originating from the United States (this makes it easier to pin-point a setting for that world. The American holidays will be the primary focus, but foreign holidays (such as Saint. Lucy, Ferragosto, Dia Dos Muertos, ect.) and other global holidays (such as Valentine's day, Christmas, Halloween, ect.) will make future debuts in the webcomic. For now, I want to clearly establish the world first so that it would be easier for make the series flow. Now, without a minute to spare, here is the list of the main cast characters:
-The Main Trio-
Thanksgiving (Physical age 21)- The main protagonist of the webcomic. As the ultimate big sister figure to most of the American Holidays, she's a caring woman who doesn't hesitate to help anyone in need. She has a high amount of patience, but knows how to deal with people who would use that as an advantage. Thanksgiving haven't been so positively-viewed lately, but this doesn't stop her from doing things to make herself a good person.
St. Patrick's Day (Physical age 21, preferred to be called Saint Patty)- The deuteraagonist of the webcomic. He is the big brother figure to most of the American Holidays. Unlike typical leprechauns, he's an extrovert and likes to have company. He is also a mischievous man with a streak of thievery (Thanksgiving usually scolds him for pick-pocketing). Saint Patty is an energetic and fun person that has his optimism guide him out of heavy storms.
Kwanzaa (Physical age 20)- The tritagonist of the webcomic. Also being a big sister figure, her selfless, bold character makes her a gutsy woman. Being valiant, she is heavily invested and guides others with her morals and principles. Kwanzaa can get stubborn if things get tense.
-The Supporting Cast-
Note: They are listed randomly, NOT on how much appearance they will get in the series.
Memorial Day (US)- A supporting character of the series. A tough, abrasive girl who highly honors those who have died for America. Her pessimistic, harsh attitude makes her a killjoy. However, Memorial Day is noted to be caring if you gain her trust.
President's Day- A supporting character of the series. President's Day is one of the most patriotic holidays you will ever meet. He is a boy with higher intelligence than he looks. Although he is nice to talk to, President's Day sometimes accidentally becomes a party-pooper just for bringing in politics to any conversation. His current pet bald eagle is named Laura.
Columbus Day (Preferred to be called Cole)- A supporting character of the series. He is aware of what's going around him, but chooses to ignore it. He is a naïve loveable loser who likes to put his head up in the clouds. Columbus Day was demoted to a doormat over the years, but he's oblivious to the atmosphere.
Groundhog Day- A supporting character of the series. A chatty girl who likes to drive others crazy with her mostly "accurate" weather predictions. Her high curiosity drives her to hear the latest gossip. Groundhog Day is easily amused and finds greatness in everything. Her current pet groundhog is named Terry.
Cinco de Mayo- A supporting character of the series. Her bold, daring energy perfectly reflects the spice in her food. Her feisty attitude sometimes makes her impatient easily. Cinco is a tomboy with a feminine streak.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Preferred to be called Marty)- A supporting character of the series. As he is the youngest in the main cast, Marty is often the innocent one. Despite usually being treated like a child, he is highly ambitious to his beliefs and isn't afraid to speak for those with lost voices.
**This Friday is when the first comic of the series will ever be released, so please stay tuned!**
Daily Holidays and all of the characters belong to me.
