I don't think she is a jerk. Griffons just have issues with horses. Especially annoying ones like the pink pest, who disturbs the time she wanted to spend with her best friend...alone!

Like I said, Griffons have issues with Equines. They are generally not fond of them, unless it is as food. Having to deal with Pinkie Pie is not helping. Gilda being friends with Dash is quite a rarity.

Gilda made Fluttershy cry ON PURPOSE, something that ONLY jerks like to do. And you don't have to tell me about gryphons eating horses. I've had 20 years of experience in cryptozoology to know enough about it. But this show [MLP:FiM] doesn't involve gryhons eating horses, unlike their true counterparts. In fact, true gryphons not only eat horses but are large and strong enough to carry off horses and fly them away - in ancient times, sometimes even with the riders still on them!
