I'm a metal head. Rap is not something I listen to a lot at all.
Even I recognize that rap as a music style has evolved a lot.
The beats, rhythm, and rhyme style they use today is vastly different from back then. The backing tracks as well. A lot more rap artists these days are using more electronic and dubstep in their backing tracks
