Mimi also tends to be slightly blunt about others and also tends to act really distant towards those that she isn’t interested in. Even her collaborators never hear from her unless they are working with her, and they can tell when she is uninterested or not. However, she does lack confidence deep down and is very insecure. She finds herself lost in thought very often while alone in her expensive apartment. She also does tend to feel lonely too but to a fault of her own thanks to that mentioned insecurity and past emotional trauma.

Sometimes, Mimi shifts into another identity often known as Chan, which is where her full pop star name comes from. Chan is a very dominant-acting alter that loves to work as an assassin to feel a sense of justice from her past. Chan is more outspoken (which can be helpful). Brief Backstory

Life is but a messed up circus; things can go right, or very wrong. Mimi’s life was no exception from the harsh reality of some circumstances. From the time that she was born, her parents expected her to learn quickly, behave like a lady, and listen to anyone greater than her. Mimi would often be shoved into situations that she couldn’t say no to, even if she wanted to. As a child, Mimi wasn’t allowed to get started at a normal school. She was forced to go to school with the richest kids around her entire location. No matter how much she begged to go to a normal school and participate in normal activities, her parents wanted their special little girl to be different. This would all change as she got older. As a teenager, her life would change forever.

When Mimi entered her teenage years, she started to become rebellious against her parents and their wishes, so she joined a choir and eventually stopped listening to her parents altogether. Once she entered high school, her singing talents started to become very recognized and she made friends with many other rich kids. She started to participate in activities that her parents were against, including going out and singing at parties. She felt so happy, she was finally beginning to feel like she was starting to fit in or be her own person, and she truly was. After a year of being in high school, she was invited to a party where she would eventually meet a boy. This boy was a very handsome boy and was one that she had a crush on for a long while. To her surprise, this boy seemed to show interest back towards her, so she happily did anything he asked her to do during the party. She ended up drinking while being underage, this caused her to not only pass out later on, but gave this boy the opportunity to also take advantage of her.

He took her home with her that evening and decided that this would be where he would get the girl of his dreams. Her parents were not concerned about her at this point in her life and Mimi was stuck with a boy she barely knew fully. When Mimi finally awoke, she was scared to the point of wanting to leave the house, until she saw who she was with. The boy didn’t treat her badly at first, but he did eventually convince her to live with him through spoiling her and telling her nice words. Time passed, but as it did, the boy’s treatment towards her started to worsen, especially as another year passed by. He would often take money from her that she earned from music gigs, would force her to do everything around the house, and would also eventually convince her that her friends were not there for her and didn’t understand her at all. This quickly got into Mimi’s head and she cut ties with her closest friends, eventually believing that he was the only friend she truly had. She also dropped out of her school and basically was forced to stay at his house. She felt as if she couldn’t live without him, but that was far from the truth.

One day, Mimi encountered one of her friends from school. That friend was actually Hikaru, someone that became famous after years of being in the theater. Hikaru noticed her change in demeanor and tried to get her to talk, but she refused to answer. She started to tell Hikaru everything that she was told, Hikaru didn’t exactly understand what she meant and told her that he never did say anything bad about her and that all of her friends genuinely cared for her. She refused to believe it for a while, but one night, she finally came back to reality. The boy had tried to tell her to do everything around the house again and she didn’t respond to him. She started to rebel against him as reality started to sink in more and more towards his grooming that he had done towards her. She hated him so much, but she didn’t know how to express it until she suddenly started to think about the person that she would have to be to get out of the situation. After days of thinking and spacing out, she thought about all of her past, and eventually, Chan became formed.

The boy started to lose his patience and went to hit her one day after she didn’t reply to him again. Mimi only grinned and started to cry and laugh.

“You took advantage of me, all this time, didn’t you?” She asked. He didn’t know how to reply and tried to make excuses, saying that all he did was try to help her. That he gave her a roof over her head and a friend that she could count on. She swiftly turned around and was met with a fist against her face. She held her face and screamed in pain, but her pupils became very sharp and she started to laugh harder.

“She might not be able to harm you, but I will,” Chan said, then quickly smacked him back. Chan then took that opportunity to grab whatever she could of her stuff and took off out of the house. The boy was in shock and could only scream out that she couldn’t live without him, but that was a lie. Chan became a coping mechanism for Mimi towards trauma or her anger, but Mimi was very much a talented female. It took forever for Mimi to gain the courage to apply for a job involving singing, but she did. As years passed by, Mimi became extremely popular among young adults and teens as a pop star. Thanks to the emotional abuse and the lies that Mimi had to face, Chan desired another career choice of her own. That being a member of the Magenta Hands to take care of other groomers that exist in life. In the end, Mimi still has insecurity issues where she feels like she cannot get close to some people or that she isn’t good enough, but that is mostly in her head and she refuses to let it be shown. So she puts up a spoiled, diva-like persona to mask her inner paranoia and sadness. She never wishes to look weak towards anyone ever again.
