LOOK! I draw ROBOTS for once!

So this is a comission for . She's a fan of Arcee/Bee, so she wanted something with the two of them and a hint of chemistry. So I got to thinking how the two of them could meet, and figured Arcee's gotta wake up from stasis SOME time, and why not have Bee in the area? So maybe Bee was hanging around Rachet (who you just know is gonna be the overseeing doctor), and ended up meeting this pretty bot who's just waking up and has no memory of herself. Seeing how that would depress someone, Bee takes it upon himself to cheer her up with jokes, and also fill her in on current events (and of course, playing up his own role in them). Arcee find the little bot amusing, so she doesn't mind him staying by her bedside.

...Only he's not a little bot. It wasn't so obvious in the lineart, but after I colored it...Bee is WAY too big. In fact, if the two bots stood up, he might even be taller. That's just wrong. Oh well.

also left it up to me how I would do the pic, with Humanformers or robots. Since I haven't drawn the bots lately, and I'd like to learn the style, I went for bots. Lets do something different, says I.
I also tried to even color/shade them like in the show. Had to make up a few spots I didn't have reference for, but it looks pretty good.

I'm (hopefully) getting better with the robot designs. Bee actually is starting to look like himself. Not quite TV show quality yet, but getting there. Or maybe I'm just being too hard on myself; I tend to do that.
Arcee though... >_< I could NOT get her helmet right to save my life. Why'd they have to make it so gosh-darn complicated? It wasn't until I was looking for color references for her head that I realized the problem. The actual SCREENCAPS I'd used for reference drawing had drawn her helmet wrong. I tried to fix it up best I could, but its hard to make lineart corrections when most the pic is already colored. -_- Oh well, at least the rest of her is sorta OK. Maybe a few details off here and there, but like I said; I didn't have the best references to work with. I like how she turned out anyways, except for maybe her head.

A background wasn't ordered with the pic, but I wasn't gonna have Arcee and Bee just sitting on thin air, so I whipped up something fast with vectors. It pulls off a simple background without me having to bust my brain over it. This comissioner is getting her money's worth from me, I can tell ya. ^_^

EDIT: OH NOES. Forgot the Autobot insignas. >_< KNEW there'd be something. It's late-night now; I fix later.
Either that, or they're ditching the army to elope. Since that's kinda wrong (albiet hilarious in a weird kinda way), I'll just get them their insignas...at some point.
