Tetsuo is from a rich family, some call him stubborn but that's maybe because he is very determined in life and sticks up for his family. Tending to get himself in trouble when it goes all to his head and decides to intervene.
At one point he joined the Mage's school in order to learn about magic but it soon turns out that his kind are not able to learn magic and can only learn to enhance their skills of their abilities depending on their species. Being that his species are natural healers, he can only work on that. He learned to turn his healing dust into many creatures that look like spectral ghosts but it left him feeling defeated as he couldn't do more with his ability. He was given special rings crafted with material used by his kind to help enhance their powers with ease. He now usually spends his time with the school as they appreciate his presence, being with groups travelling or just studying up on many things.
When he is not being all stubborn, he is seen as calm and seems to be happy to help out others.

His family are often in dispute with another family, it's unknown why but one day it ended up with Tetsuo getting hurt as he intervened at one point, the other family punished him for getting in the way but luckily he avoided serious injury but ended up losing part of his 'moustache', which now he has an accessory piece to cover what was lost as he feels humiliated not having it on.
Maybe him joining the school is because he wants to end the feud between the two families and maybe to avoid getting injured by them again.

The other family is a type of anthropomorphic cat. The reason for the disputes is currently unknown and seems to be random arguments, especially involving Tetsuo's family.
