Description
"Merlin Racing" is one of the few games that was released on a short-lived game system (that also functioned as a DVD player) called the Nuon. At first glance, it looks like a clone of Diddy Kong Racing, with many similarities such as:
-animal racers
-switching between a kart, hovercraft or plane depending on the course
-courses based on location type (such as a swamp, the arctic, a space station, etc.)
-racing against bosses of their respective locations
...and then some.

The animal characters looked cute and charming, and there isn't any fanart of them that I could find (most likely due to how obscure the game and system are) so I decided to draw each of them for fun. I based the designs on both the in-game models as well as the species that the game's manual specifies for each character. Out of all of them, Flossie, Rocco and Cadmus are my favorites.

The game, logo and characters featured belong to Miracle Designs (now part of Nacon).
