A character I made for a book I'm writing.
Name: Wendigo
Pronunciation: (When-dig-o)
Gender: Male
Backstory [W.I.P]: He was born in a pack of skullies and given the gladiator rank (The red paw print with claws on his skull shows that). Gladiators are raised to be emotionless, so they don't become soft. He, however, was full of empathy for other beings. Once there was an elder who had become sick. The Alpha of the skullies kept the elder in an isolated place so he didn't infect the others, and could die in peace. Wendigo, known then as Shika The Gladiator, gave some extra prey he had caught to the isolated elder. (skullies are rarely winged, it's a genetic disorder of sorts, so he was able to catch much more prey). He wasn't very careful, however, because the next day he was exiled for breaking the Alpha's word. When a skully gets exiled, their skulls are broken in half. (The ones they wear, not their own skulls!). Shika, however, refused to get his skull broken, as it is a status symbol of an untrustworthy skully, and escaped with only a crack in it. (The crack isn't on this ref, but it exists). Then he found Shiro's pack, where he was welcomed.
Species: Skully (Species I created, wolf-deer-dragon mix essentially)
Personality: Wise, Mysterious, Looks spooky but very kind-hearted, Natural leader, intelligent in fighting, etc.
Pack: Shiro's pack [Unnamed as of now], Group of lone wolves [Unnamed]
Other: Often wears canine skull on head, Painting on it is faded, Skull is cracked and old. He has the body/front leg anatomy somewhat of a buck, and the head/scruff/back leg anatomy of a wolf. Wings are covered in fur, except the light blue part which is a fleshy bat-wing-like material. Horns are the same as deer horns. He can also fly, although rather slow. He leaps high like a deer, runs quickly, and often rams into his enemies during battle, similar to a buck.
