Description
A deep fascination for Dr. Theodore Leroche, my colleague and fellow Traveller, was the study of Prehistoric 'Merfolk' cultures and fossil records. The various Polynesian references to 'Mu' in the pacific ocean held a particular interest for him which spurred on the discovery of the submerged city of Guasoali'i in the lonely depths of the oceanic drifts ranges between Polynesia and the Hawaiian Islands. Alas my association with Theodore ended abruptly when he seemingly disappeared on one of his too frequent solo-journeys to another potential lost 'Murian' city in his Substeamer. It was only many many years later that I had opportunity to purchase the lost Substeamer at auction, and the treasure of sketches and lithograph contained therein, after it was discovered intact by a deep-sea mining operation of manganese nodules. Of Dr. Leroche however, there was no sign of his remains onboard.
